In 1925 Alfred North Whitehead wrote “As we think, we live”. He saw the trajectory the world was on. What is wrong with the way we think? How did we come to think of the world as a commodity to be owned and exploited? As teachers we help frame the thinking of each new generation, and the way we live has led to the global crises of today. What are we implicitly telling our students about the world and our relationship within it when they walk hallways that separate science from art. Process thinking challenges the bifurcation of the world into subjects and objects, artists and scientists. It places the beauty of a sunset on equal terms with the electromagnetic radiation that objectifies it. Both are part of Nature. This session introduces PROcess a seven-lesson course on Process Thinking for students and should be of interest to anyone who wonders about the link between how their students think and what they go on to do in the world.
