Creating and Transitioning Math Assessments for Outcome-Based Reporting

Teachers will examine the differences between "traditional" quizzes, tests, and worksheets, and those designed with outcome-based grading and reporting in mind. We'll go over some steps for taking existing assessments and reworking them for this framework, as well as for creating them from scratch. Teachers are encouraged to come with an outcome or topic in mind which they'd like to prepare for.

Matt is a grade 4 teacher at Dr. Robert Plaxton Elementary School in Lethbridge. He’s been teaching grade 4 or grade 4/5 classes since the mid 2010s, and has a bad habit of allowing new programs to completely transform his teaching practice.
