Social Studies involves a great deal of content and skill development. Our young students need to be provided with opportunities to decipher and pull important information from nonfiction texts as well as find meaningful ways to remember important content for, not only the course term, but long-term. In this session, I will share a variety of hands-on activities that I use in the classroom to get students actively working through the curriculum while building and developing skills necessary for the High School level.
