About me
Dr. Hartson began her career as a classroom teacher where she taught English Language Arts, Social Studies. She also ran a lunch-time chess club for students (but never won a single game) and an after-school badminton club (she won a few of those). She has a Masters degree in Curriculum Theory and a PhD in Teacher Leadership. Her current work as a consultant focuses on teaching for conceptual understanding, Language Arts and Literature, disciplinary literacy in secondary schools, and supporting new curriculum implementation.
