The Public Interest Commissioner is an independent Officer of the Alberta Legislature responsible for investigating allegations of wrongdoing under the Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblower Protection) Act. This Act applies to the broader public service, including the Education Sector, and provides legislative protections for employees who report wrongdoing in their workplace.
